TIME cultivates the creation and presentation of
time-based artworks in San Diego. Focusing on sound installation, video
installation, movement, generative and computational art, game art,
micro-cinema screenings, music, and multi-media performance, SPACE TIME
advances the role of artworks that exist outside conventional listening,
viewing, and theatrical structures. SPACE TIME invites artists and
curators from all over the world to further engage the San Diego
community in global art activities, providing access to works by world
renowned artists through public programs, and creating links to
contemporary artists in the Southern California region. While focusing
largely on the local community and the network of arts organizations,
SPACE TIME strives to involve San Diego in the global conversation, so
that artists, curators, and critics from around the world are aware of
the activities in San Diego.
