Guitarist and author Alan Licht is active in New York’s rock and experimental music scenes as a composer, improviser and curator. Since the early 1990s he has developed a repertoire of structured improvisation pieces for solo electric guitar. These works bring together his interests in re-harmonization (from jazz and classical music), process, repetition, and extended duration (from Minimalism), and the textural vocabularies of rock and noise music.
He is revered for his work with Rudolph Grey’s group the Blue Humans, Loren Mazzacane Connors, and Text of Light. More recent activities include recording and touring with Lee Ranaldo and the Dust, an improv trio with Aki Onda and artist/filmmaker Michael Snow, and a duo with Yeah Yeah Yeahs drummer Brian Chase.
A frequent contributor to Artforum and other publications, Licht is also the author of Sound Art: Beyond Music Between Categories (Rizzoli, 2007) and the editor of Will Oldham on Bonnie Prince Billy (Faber & Faber/W.W. Norton, 2012). Sound Art Revisited, an updated edition of the previous sound art book, will be published by Bloomsbury later in 2019.

Called by ArtForum "one of the great cellists" as well as "spellbinding and minimal," Charles Curtis has woven a unique career through the worlds of classical performance and musical experimentation. For more than twenty years Curtis has been closely associated with the legendary avant garde composer La Monte Young. As soloist and as director of Young's Theatre of Eternal Music String Ensemble, Curtis has participated in more performances and premieres of Young's music than any other musician.
Curtis has developed a unique repertoire of major works created expressly for the distinctive qualities of his cello-playing. The great American experimental composer Alvin Lucier has composed numerous works for Curtis, including pieces for cello and sine waves, cello and piano, and cello with large orchestra. French composer Eliane Radigue created her very first work for a purely acoustic instrument for Curtis. Artist and performer Alison Knowles created a unique graphic score for Curtis which has been realized in galleries and alternative settings. These, along with the monumental works of La Monte Young and rarely-heard pieces by Terry Jennings, Richard Maxfield and Morton Feldman, have been championed by Curtis through regular performances and recordings.

Xareni Lizárraga is a sound operator, soundscape and researcher artist from Baja Mexico who recently moved from Mexico City where she developed her audio production experience and exposure to soundscape, experimenting with different environments and sonic characteristics. In recent years, she has been collaborating on documentaries, where nature sounds and indigenous rituals play significant roles, using those symbolic sounds as an acoustic ecology and field recordings. she experiments with diverse explorations around field recording, sonic data interpretation, and scientific methodologies around sound, contemplating certain species as a part of her work.
She has collaborated on an array of projects as a sound recordist/sound design artist putting the capacity to listen in practice.
